Use this calculator to evaluate applying for your EECBG allocation on your own compared to applying through the Clean Energy Partnership.
This calculator was designed for small jurisdictions that will be getting their EECBG funds from the California Energy Commission. The calculator is a tool that will compare what you can do with your EECBG allocation on your own or what you can do with your allocation through the SJV Clean Energy Partnership.
Instructions
-
In box #1, enter your jurisdiction's allocation
-
In box #2, enter your jurisdictions costs per kWh or use our default average of $0.14
-
In box #3, enter your jurisdiction's costs per therm or use our defaulate average of $1.00
-
In box #4, enter your jurisdiction's administrative and non-retrofit costs (as a percent of your allocation)
-
In box #5, enter your jurisdiction's capacity building allocation (as a percent of your allocation)
-
In boxes #6 through #14, estimate the percentage of your jurisdiction's allocation that might be spent on any specific measures.
-
The calculator will then allow you to compare energy efficiency and cost savings if your jurisdiction pursues its EECBG allocation on its own and how that might compare to working through the Clean Energy Partnership.
-
Note that the total allocation should equal 100% for the results to be complete.
NOTE: This calculator is based on approximate estimates. Numbers and calculations may change as we learn more about technical requirements. The Partnership's estimates of 15% for administrative costs and 15% for capacity building are also estimates. Administrative costs are not expected to exceed 15% and could well be less if more and larger jurisdictions participate. The 15% estimate for capacity building is likely to change depending on the the volume and costs of retrofit projects.
