Earth Day in Tulare

Teachers, students and representatives of utilities, nonprofit organizations and clean energy-related businesses participated in an Earth Day showcase April 30 at Southern California Edison's AGTAC (Agriculture Technology Application Center) in Tulare.

Participants wandered from booth to booth, learning more about water-conserving landscaping techniques, energy-efficiency programs and other programs. Among those in attendance was the San Joaquin Valley Clean Energy Organization, which is based in Fresno.

The San Joaquin Valley Clean Energy Organization (SJVCEO) is a nonprofit dedicated to improving our region's quality of life by increasing its production and use of clean energy. The SJVCEO works with cities and counties and public and private organizations to demonstrate the benefits of energy efficiency and renewable energy throughout the eight-county region of the San Joaquin Valley.
