California's almost the sharpest bulb: Energy efficiency rankings
Patch - When it comes to producing clean energy, California is apparently one of the brightest bulbs in the nation. That's according to the American Council for an Energy-Efficient Economy, which recently released its 13th annual report identifying each state's commitment to energy efficiency.

Utility Dive - The analysis, based on 5,000 Southern California Edison (SCE) customers' hourly loads, commuting behavior and "potential electric vehicle (EV) ownership," concluded that at a 10% EV penetration, the batteries could shift the utility's entire residential peak load to nighttime hours.
